Our Rural Development program was deliberately deployed to take development back to the rural communities and to also tackle problems identified in the rural communities. Our community development strategy provided direction for partnership towards sustainable community development between the State Government and other stakeholders. The initiative helped to build confidence and trust in Government, empowered the citizens for sustainable development and enriched the people of Ondo State. Our approach has been applied in our communities with close to 1000 projects identified, prioritised and implemented. Our efforts at community development has therefore fostered participatory governance at the grassroots, propelled community-driven development and enhanced bottom-up with top-down support approach to governance.
